Augmented Reality · R&DFITS.ME

Overview
FITS.ME is an integrated wayfinding system for large, complex buildings — hospitals, public offices, historic buildings, large museums — where moving around is often disorienting. It is designed above all for people with reduced orientation abilities: people with disabilities, older adults, hospital inpatients. At the core of the project is a wearable device (the Dispositivo Indossabile di Posizionamento, DIP) with vibrotactile interfaces that guide the user without requiring visual attention.
